A Letter from Dr. Tina Lefta

Dear Patient:

I consider myself very blessed to have found Dr. Ray Elliotte’s practice. From the first time I visited with Dr. Elliotte, I knew that Dorsey Family Dental was the kind of practice I had envisioned to purchase for years. After meeting the exceptional staff, I am certain I have made the right choice in joining Dorsey Family Dental.

I realize I have great shoes to fill as I come into the position of the new owner dentist of DFD. As many of you know, for 48 years Dr. Elliotte has contributed to the dental profession in a variety of ways. I know he has provided great service and is very well-liked by patients and staff alike, and I am certain you will miss having him as your dentist.

Dr. Elliotte and I have worked closely together to make the transition of the practice as smooth as possible. My goal is to keep what is working well, while offering a wider range of dental procedures to our patients. I vow to create a comforting family atmosphere, while providing the highest quality dentistry using the most innovative technology available in the dental field.

I would like to share some information about me. I completed my undergraduate degrees at Eastern Kentucky University (Richmond, KY) and completed Dental School as well as Residency in General Dentistry at the University of Kentucky College of Dentistry (Lexington, KY). I am currently working towards becoming a Fellow of the Academy of General Dentistry. I practiced in Lexington, KY before my husband and I decided to move to the East Coast. Living and practicing in Virginia Beach, VA was fun and we will surely miss it. However, there is a season in life for everything, right? With the arrival of our son, Gabriel, my husband Zach and I decided it was time to move closer to family in Kentucky. We chose to make Louisville our future home and we are thrilled to be here now!

In my career as a dentist, I have had the opportunity to treat patients of all ages in a variety of dental settings – from hospital clinics, corporate practices, larger and smaller practices, to my latest position as a solo dentist. I’m grateful for the many experiences I have had, as each have helped to shape me into the clinician I am today. I have enjoyed the most working as a solo dentist in a small office. That is what I want to continue to bring to Dorsey Family Dental – a family-friendly atmosphere in the highest quality dental care delivered in the most gentle, caring, and compassionate manner!

I am extremely excited about this new chapter in my career and would really appreciate the opportunity to meet and serve each of you! Come see me for your next appointment. I promise you will not be disappointed!

Tina Lefta, DMD

A Letter from Dr. Ray Elliotte

Dear Patient:

It is with mixed emotions that I am writing today to inform you of my retirement after 48 years in dentistry. Although I will soon be departing, I feel that I am leaving you in very capable hands. Joanna and Lorrie will remain. I have declined several attempts to sell the practice until I met Dr. Lefta. I knew the first time I met her that she would be the one to continue the service and quality that my patients have come to expect from us at Dorsey Family Dental.

Arriving in March 2017, Dr. Lefta along with her husband and new baby boy are moving from Virginia to be your dentist. Dr. Lefta was a solo dentist in Virginia Beach, where she ran a successful practice for several years prior to her move to Louisville. She brings with her additional skills that once required a referral out of the practice. It is without hesitation that I encourage you and your family to continue to visit us here at Dorsey Family Dental and meet this amazing young lady. I sincerely believe you will be surprised at the caring nature and attention to patient needs she demonstrates.

With that said, Lorrie and Joanna will be looking forward to introducing you to our new dentist in March. I have been fortunate enough to have been your dentist for many years. I leave you knowing you are in capable hands and will continue to receive gentle, professional care among familiar faces and this skilled practitioner.

God Bless and thank you for allowing me to be a small part of your life.

-Ray M. Elliotte C.D.T., D.D.S.
